The world is uncertain but one thing that’s not: moments and phases and bits of childhood fly by and you can’t go back, no matter how much you may want to do so. What we can do is (safely) freeze time with images.

Marie has such a fun personality — a little bit of sass and a lot of confidence — and I loved capturing not only that but her huge love for her family and their love of her. We explored the area and were able to capture a lovely variety of groups, moments and memories.

Families come in many different shapes and forms and groupings and I love that no two are the same and I love that part of my job is to tell individual stories that are unique to each family or couple or individual.

My goal with family photo sessions (and pretty much all of my photo sessions) is to let every single individual’s personality shine through in the final photos just as much as it is capturing the family’s group story and love.

There are a lot of ultimate compliments that a client could give me — one is having a repeat client come back time and time again for family memories. Another is the pleasure of having other photographers choose you for their photos. When both of these things happen — ultimate honor.

I am so lucky to have had this family in front of my camera not once but two times. They are a family of four filled with fun, joy and love.
