When Weslee reached out to me about capturing her family of three in their first professional photos, I felt so incredibly lucky. Their handsome little son was full of smiles, exploring, adventure and joy. I loved the opportunity to freeze time on this first year of love and family with a session in our New Market neighborhood of Lake Linganore.

I know Weslee through her work with our son Zachary at his school. She’s always been a person of support, encouragement and positivity and when we hung out together for an hour at Lake Linganore, she was all of that still.

We kept the session super simple because of how young their son is and how chilly our day was — we explored a path that ran alongside the lake and played with leaves and said hello to every single puppy that walked by that day — so fun!

We captured so many smiles and a whole bunch of hugs and kisses from Mom and Dad. More than any other time in a kiddo’s life, that first year or so flies by the quickest and is so unique in that time period of discovery and learning.

I’m so glad that Weslee and her family will now have a few of those moments frozen. I can’t wait to capture this love again one day soon!
