When we moved to Maryland three and a half years ago, I had no idea how much I would fall in love with our Lake Linganore community. Or how many treasures it would hand me for my photography business.

I went from a predominantly wedding photographer to a near-full-time family and portrait photographer. Without a doubt, a large part of that transition was due to us living in Lake Linganore.

The community where we live is filled with hiking trails, multiple lakes, so many outdoor adventures and beautiful locations. It’s provided me inspiration for family sessions and nature photography alike.

I can walk to some of my sessions. What a gift! There, I can surround my clients with forested paths, fence-lined trails, waterfront spots and other beautiful backdrops easily. I can drive less than 10 minutes and offer beach photos and gorgeous lake shots. Seriously, I will never get over how amazing that really is for all of us!

I’m grateful to the hundreds of neighbors who have stood in front of my camera in all of these beautiful spots and trusted me in my capturing of their memories and supported my business and my family. I really am the luckiest.
