When you have new dreams, you’ve got to dress them up a bit and give them a big moment to explode into the world. Honestly, that’s kind of how it felt to talk about the future of my business (and of me) with Emilie of Buoyant Marketing this year as we prepared to create a new website and new branding for Wendy Zook. Seriously, I can’t wait for you to learn more about what inspired us!
I don’t ever want to be stagnant for too long — I’m always searching for ways to grow.
My photography business continues on! While I’ll occasionally capture couples and love stories, the focus of my photography will remain elsewhere. I want to stay focused on families, children and special events.
In addition, I’m adding more opportunities for beginner photographers and momtographers. I want them to learn how to take better photos and take better care of their clients through my mentorship services. I’ve loved getting to know people from all over the East Coast virtually and in-person as they ask questions to improve their skills and their processes! Honestly, I can’t wait to continue that even more in the coming months and years.
And, finally, the third area we’re emphasizing now is advocacy, particularly for people with disabilities and special needs. I want to educate others. Because, I truly believe open hearts and minds are going to change this world for the better. Honestly, I have the greatest amount of dreaming left to do in this area. I do it for Zach but I do it for all the people without voices and with struggles.
Emilie took my love of the outdoors and flowers and created something new. You’ll see the website and my branding now has elements of wildflowers, seed packets and even arrows like my #theluckyfew tattoo. There are colors that speak to vibrancy and joy and fun — kind of like me and what my clients experience.
I love that we were able to create a cozy home online. It’s a a comfortable spot for past clients and future clients, and new and old friends to catch up on the blog with a cup of coffee in hand or find info on their sessions.
I hope you’ll take a moment to check it out!
