I love finding new locations and secret (or not-so-secret) spots to capture my family, your family or just the view itself.

I’m a person who is inspired by lush greens and wildflowers and soft breezes, so it sometimes feels like Springtime and a pretty spot is all I need for a magical moment.

Luckily, we live in Lake Linganore, in New Market, just outside of Frederick, Maryland. As it’s name suggests, it’s a lovely little lake community with 30 or 40 miles of trails, a handful of small lakes and tons of beautiful scenery. I love exploring this area.

If you love lakefront scenes, we’ve got that. Forested paths? Yep, we’ve got that, too.

All about an open field or a dense forest? I’ve found those here also. It’s a little mix of places that make you feel like you’re on top of the world and spots that make you feel small and the world feels huge.

I use a handful of these locations for photo sessions here in the Lake Linganore community and lately, I’ve started capturing this beauty to offer in my WZP Print Shop. I love sharing beauty and this was an easy way to gift joy and keep my camera in my hand regularly during these at-home days and weeks.

Springtime in a sweet, peaceful spot — are there many things better than that? I’m not sure, but enjoy some of these details and landscapes that have been bringing me joy.
