Wendy Zook Photography is Relocating to Maryland! {New Frederick, Maryland Wedding and Engagement Photographer}

Rochester, New York will always be an incredibly important chapter in my life’s storybook. My time as a Rochester wedding photographer was beyond exciting, encouraging, uplifting and successful. I saw my business go from a side business to a successful full-time gig and photographed 20 couples every year in some of my favorite spots around Monroe County, Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse.
And on a personal level, I met some of the most beautiful friends — friendships that I have no doubt will continue long after the “SOLD” sign on our house. I watched our children prosper in new classroom settings and learn new talents and skills. We celebrated birthdays and holidays and long-awaited visits with friends here in Rochester.
But — as bittersweet as this is — a new chapter awaits. My husband has been offered an amazing opportunity with his career that is taking our family to Maryland. We’ll be living in Frederick County and can’t wait to explore the surrounding areas of Baltimore, Washington, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and more.
I’ve already been in touch with a few past and present vendors in the Frederick, Maryland area, and have such a long bucket list of vendors I’d like to meet and locations I’d love to explore. I’m already envisioning Maryland and Virginia engagement sessions in historic Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria and of course at least one session with cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin. I can’t wait to celebrate weddings with my new couples at the museums in D.C. and historic hotels like The Shoreham, Marriott Marquis, Gaylord National Resort and more.
While I’m so excited to welcome new brides and grooms to the WZP family from Maryland, Virginia and DC weddings and engagements, I’m still hanging on to some of my old stomping grounds.
