Chris and Elizabeth are two of the most genuine, fun, considerate, in-love humans you’ll ever meet. I’m lucky to call them neighbors, too. They’ve delivered some of Elizabeth’s yummy homemade cupcakes and an assortment of cookies and I love seeing them at the bus stop or walking through the neighborhood.
Their original wedding date was the first weekend of May but that was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the United States. They have a tentative wedding event scheduled here in Frederick County in August, but, they also really wanted to just be married.
So, last weekend, a small handful of loved ones met at Susquehanna State Park in Harford County, Maryland, north of Baltimore. It was a day of laughs and going with the flow as locations changed, people got lost, masks were worn and nerves and fear were overcome with complete joy. It was them — it was just a day of fun and happiness and love.
Their pastor Lonnie had such great words to share with them and I loved that he shared lessons learned from Coronavirus that can be used in love and relationships. Lighthearted and important (and very true).
I am crossing every finger that the August event happens in Frederick County, but for now, enjoy this peek into the love between Chris and Elizabeth during their quiet quarantine wedding ceremony at Susquehanna State Park.
Congratulations!
