As soon as we relocated to Frederick in August, the wheels started turning about how I could use my photography to meet new neighbors and hopefully future friends. Once the leaves began changing colors and my schedule back in New York state lightened up a smidge, I began offering family photo sessions in our neighborhood of Lake Linganore, about 20 minutes east of Frederick, Maryland. 

I found a fantastic location that offered a ton of variety for backdrops, shade, safety for children all wrapped up into one spot — and that spot just happened to be one block behind my new house. 

I met couples madly in love; I captured moments with big, bustling families with lots of kiddos; I got to hold brand-new babies and even paw-shake cute pups. 

It’s been so wonderful meeting all of these new faces, freezing this moment in time for all of them and then seeing familiar friends on Trick-or-Treat night, at the grocery store and at the mailboxes. 

I’m grateful for all of the families who trusted a new-to-town wedding photographer with their incredibly-precious memories. I can’t wait for more moments with them all in 2018!
