Let me start by saying that there is nothing quite like walking in someone’s home for the first time and seeing your images all throughout their beloved space.
Photos from our fall family photo session when it was just three of them are hung in a beautiful collage above their living room sofa. An image with the now Big Sis announcing that Little Sibling would be a girl is propped up on the dresser in the master bedroom. And I’m sure that by now there may be an image or two of their newborn second daughter across these walls, too.
Nothing makes me feel quite so lucky to do what I do as that.
During these three gatherings together, I’ve loved the joy of their daughter Shelby and the way she “helps me” during photo shoots by sharing her much-loved stuffed Pooh bear and bringing out a toy camera. I love seeing the way Lauren holds her daughters’ hands and shares so much love with her eyes as she gazes at them. And now, baby Savannah has captured my heart with her very-awake presence during what should have been a sleepy newborn photo session in their home.
We captured the three of them watching her as she laid down in her crib; we snapped precious moments between the two sisters and lots of photos of this new-to-them family of four chapter in life.
I’m so happy for them and so grateful to them for trusting me with these memories.
Enjoy this peek!
