I consider it a huge success when you can’t tell any adverse weather or environmental issues behind the scenes when you look at the final photos from a family photo session. When Tiffany and her family gathered for family photos with me in Ellicott City, it was FREEZING. Like, multiple layers and hand warmers and all the warm, happy thoughts. And yet, I don’t think you can tell. 

Tiffany’s family is so sweet — four siblings looking out for each other and laughing with their parents the whole time. We explored the incredible, historic, quaint downtown in Ellicott City, stopping for a photo opportunity at a handful of places throughout the town. 

I love the way you can tell a family’s story just by capturing how they interact and how they love each other. Sometimes, it’s laughter; sometimes, it’s hugs and affection; sometimes, it’s silliness. And, sometimes, like with this family, it’s a little bit of everything. 

The kiddos each got their turn in the spotlight and we even made sure to capture Mom and Dad alone for a few photos. The photos of all of them together are some of my favorites, though.
