Lauren and her family just instantly make me smile. I love how she and her husband are just incredibly fun and patient parents and how much love they have to give to sweet Shelby and baby Savannah.

I photographed Mom, Dad and Shelby last year for Fall photos and again earlier this year when Savannah was born. You may remember Shelby as my most amazing assistant — grabbing her toy camera and helping me out during her baby sister’s in-home newborn session.

During this session, held at one of my favorite Lake Linagnore spots, Shelby helpd me find the most perfect yellow leaves for collecting. I love how excited she was when she showed me her collection and I’m so grateful to have her trust and the trust from her parents in capturing real moments that truly capture each person’s personality.

By the end of the session, we had explored, laughed, captured memories and — perhaps my favorite part — I had my hand held by Shelby as we walked back to the cars.

I’m so excited to share this beautiful family. Lauren is an incredible person and is managing her new role as a momma so beautifully. Enjoy these peeks!
