As November creeps in, it can be trickier and trickier to find the bright and bold fall foliage colors of October for family photo sessions. But it’s still possible. For this session with a local Frederick MD family of four, it was all about some creative camera angles and finding all the best little spots among the last few leaf-covered trees. The locations around us in Lake Linganore don’t have a ton of leaves left on the trees and yet the final edited photos are warm and filled with bursts of greens and yellows and oranges.
I don’t think there are many things more fun and enjoyable than watching kiddos explore on a crunchy, leaf-filled pathway while showing their brightly-colored finds. The joy that we had during this session as Big Sis showed us her many leaves was so great.
We were able to make an adventure using nature’s little gift of freshly-fallen leaves and it made for some super-fun and very real moments captured — throwing leaves and twirling and searching and so many hugs and kisses.
Watching Sis love on her little baby brother was so sweet, too — they cuddled together on a blanket and he received many squeezing hugs from her during our session.
I’m so grateful for these new clients and their patience with a lot of wind and a little color. Enjoy these peeks!
