As a mom of two myself, I completely understand how quickly time goes by and how fleeting each stage of childhood is; I know how hard it is for the mommas to get into the photos, too. I love capturing “real” moments with families — walking and laughing, looking for flowers, piggyback rides, picnics and adventures.

Several times a year, I explore with families along trails and lakefront fields in the Lake Linganore areas. Sessions are laidback and the kiddos are in charge — we let them take the lead and we go with them on their journeys, stopping to capture beautiful smiles along the way.

In-home lifestyle sessions are a great opportunity to photograph newborns and infants surrounded by their loved ones and all of the beautiful details you prepared for their nurseries. Reach out to us to learn more about these sessions and to book one with WZP.

Outdoor Lifestyle Sessions

Lifestyle outdoor family photo sessions with Wendy Zook Photography focus on keeping everyone in your family as comfortable as possible.

We let the kids take the lead as they explore safe trails and fun sights in and around Frederick County, Maryland. We schedule enough time to account for snack requests, loose shoelaces, grumpy moments and more without worrying about getting enough images.

Outdoor sessions are best if they take place in the early to mid morning hours or late afternoon/early evening hours so the light is lovely and the temperatures are more comfortable. They’re also best if the little ones are not too hungry, not too sleepy and not too out of their normal routines.

About one week after your session, you’ll receive your own online gallery of final edited images — from there, you can download, order prints or share online. We make the entire process as easy as possible for you!

In Home Newborn Sessions

Have you just welcomed a baby into your life or are you expecting an addition to your family in the near future? First of all, congratulations! This is such an overwhelming, exciting, beautiful time in your family’s story and I’d love to help you easily and enjoyably capture this all-too-brief period in your little one’s life with lifestyle photos all from the comfort of your own home!

Wendy will help you prepare for the session and will let you go at whatever pace is needed for you and Baby — we’ll have plenty of time to pause for diaper changes, feedings and outfit adjustments. We’ll capture baby toes and crinkly noses and big brothers and sisters, too.
