In our family, we know her affectionately as “Miss Amanda.” When we lived in Rochester, NY, she was our family’s babysitter, but above all that, she told us when we were overdue for a date night and gave me hours of uninterrupted time to take care of my growing photography business.
And now she’s getting married! Her destination engagement session in Rochester NY was so special to me!

When Amanda asked me if I would photograph her 2021 wedding to Sean, I was SO excited. We’ve kept in touch since our move to Maryland three years ago and I’ve loved following her life journey and all her exciting updates.

Destination Engagement Session

We decided to do an early Fall/late Summer destination engagement session near where she lives now. And, since I was already traveling pretty far and would be spending the night in the area, we decided to do TWO engagement sessions — one at sunset and then the next one at sunrise.

TWO engagement sessions?! I KNOW! I was so excited!

Our first session was an early evening adventure at a huge park that offered us stunning panoramic views, waterfalls and a gorgeous arched metal bridge. We had so much fun, especially since their dog Shadow joined us for this session.

The second session was first thing the next morning! As the first rays of sunshine peeked out from behind clouds over one of the Great Lakes, we met up. We strolled on a long pier, played on a beach and finished up on a tree-lined path nearby.

I’m so ready to photograph them again for their big day next summer! Enjoy these peeks into their love story!
