Trust me when I say Kristin and Shane had SUCH a fun wedding day. Kristin was laughing so much of her day and was just so calm and ready to go in the hours before their vows at Hidden Valley Animal Adventure.
When I first heard of their day being at Hidden Valley, a safari place about an hour south of Rochester, I imagined (hoped for?) a giraffe officiating the ceremony. But, despite the lodge and ceremony location being fairly far from the large wild animals, it was still an amazing day!
Kristin planned several beautiful little details that all fit so well together — Shane even constructed a few of them — like their log card holder for the reception. Little touches of pink were everywhere.
But again — the laughter! Kristin’s veil was adrift during some heavy ceremony winds and her attempts at keeping it behind her had her cracking up. And then, also during the ceremony, Kristin’s brother gave a reading that left everyone crying from laughter. The thunderstorm held off until just after the ceremony was completed (yay!) and the rest of the night was dedicated to dancing and more incredibly fun moments. Kristin was surprised with a birthday cake, her and her mom danced in unison to everyone’s surprise and delight and the dance floor was packed all night long.
I’m grateful to have captured a fun celebration for these incredibly fun newlyweds. I hope their laughter continues for a long, long time. I have no doubt it will.
