The 2016 wedding season is all wrapped up (with the exception of editing!) and it’s now time to restart the reflections on the past year’s amazing wedding days and love stories.
Court and Jeff were my FIRST couple that I booked in Rochester! I loved their easy, laidback relationship and the way they wanted the day to be all about their friends and family — including their handsome sons! (Do you remember their engagement/family photo session from last Fall? You can revisit it here. )
They had a beautiful, warm, sunshiney August wedding day that had been forecasted for weeks with rain and clouds. We had no hiccups or issues — just smooth sailing with an incredibly fun bridal party and the most supportive loved ones.
Their ceremony and reception were both held at the Whittier Party House in the west side of Rochester. Before the wedding, my second shooter (Dani T — be sure to check out her work!) and I split up to capture the girls and guys getting ready in separate locations before joining up at the Tango Cafe Dance Studio in downtown Rochester for a sweet First Look moment and almost all of the bridal party photos. The property had a grand porch with huge, majestic columns, patches of beautiful landscaping and trees, spiral staircases and mirrored dance rooms.
The day ended with a packed, non-stop dance floor and a LOT of laughter — plus the BEST choreographed groomsmen dance I’ve ever seen. These guys were incredible — bonus points for the grand finale of attempting the Dirty Dancing leap!
I’ve loved watching their children grow, their jobs change and improve and their love for one another continue to comfort and encourage each other.
Enjoy these memories!
