Rebecca and Mike wanted an engagement session that was full of things they loved and activities that were important to them. By the end of our time exploring Washington, D.C. one Autumn weekend morning, I felt like I knew them; like we were old friends.
The most important thing for these two to have with them was their sweet Dachshund puppy, Dasher. (Dasher is such a celebrity that he even has his own Instagram account!) Dasher was a good listener and super-cute, of course!
We split our session into two distinctive sections, incorporating their love of baseball and The Nationals in jerseys and fun gear at Nationals Park and also their love of walking and adventuring at the nearby areas of The Yards Park and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. Their jerseys had Pitcher Joe Ross’s name on it, fitting since their shared married last name will be “Ross!”
In the end, we wound up with a really fun mix of urban and greenery, sports and modern touches.
Their engagement session is so representative of a young, busy, fun-loving DC couple and I’m excited to share some peeks with you. We practically had the park areas to ourselves in the early morning light and I’m so grateful for Rebecca and Mike’s easygoing nature. We had so much fun!
