Jennifer and Peter had been planning their October 2016 Rochester Wedding with me from their home in Wisconsin for about 10 months and it far exceeded every awesome expectation. It was a recipe for unforgettable — an Autumn backdrop of pleasant temperatures and gorgeous foliage mixed with three parts elegance and sophistication and five parts joy and laughter. Each of them was just so excited, so ready, to marry their best friend, that any small glitch along the way didn’t even matter. 

When I first talked with them, they had already been engaged for a year and were calmly and steadily tackling their to-do list from long distance. One of the first words I wrote from my notes after that conversation was “connection”, followed by “laidback”, “romantic” and “intimate.” Their wedding day delivered all of those. Even now, two and a half months later, I can still remember the way Pete smiled when he looked at Jen coming toward him up the aisle and I can still hear Jen’s laughter as they walked and strolled and twirled and explored. 

With beautiful locations like Turning Point Park and Ontario Beach Park in Charlotte for backdrops, their wedding gallery included one of the largest collections of Mr & Mrs. images from one wedding day, and some of my favorites from the whole year. 

Perhaps it was that amazing and incredible “connection?”
