I cannot express the joy I feel each and every time I gift clients with my magic “pause button” . I give them the ability to slow down a speedy life and capture it in a few frames of forever memories. Life moves way too quickly; our kids grow up way too fast; we tend to wish we had more memories and recollections. Through a photography mentorship, you can learn the same skills to capture your family’s memories.

As much as I love being behind the camera and capturing those memories for clients each year, I am not with them 24-7, 365 days a year. And there is a lot of magic to be had on even the most average of Tuesdays. There are family adventures and new outfits and annual traditions to capture.

Why have a Photography Mentor?

For parents, capturing those memories easily and quickly at home ensures that families have some of those beautiful in-between-sessions moments captured, too. In my mentoring for the “momtographer” and parent crowds, it’s all about understanding how cameras (and yes, even phone cameras) work. We take time to break it down to always ensure good lighting, clean backgrounds and easy posing. With those things in mind, your kiddos’ quick movements can be captured outside or inside the home.

In these sessions (held online, woohoo!), it’s all about explaining your camera model (perfect for those camera Christmas gifts!). We also cover the basics of how it works and tips and tricks to capture your memories.

Photography Business Mentoring

I also offer mentoring for beginner and budding photographers. These sessions are geared towards people who want to earn a couple of dollars doing something they love. We focus on a lot of business topics and definitely a LOT on taking care of clients. We’ll break down storage, workflows, and organization. And so much more to start you out right! I’ll help you find your niche and your style. And of course, the best way to consistently deliver to your clients and keep them coming back.

Mentoring is so important to me. I care about my mentoring students and helping them reach their goals. Each mentoring session is completely individualized and so personal to that specific student. They’re easy, fun and all of my mentoring clients say it has changed their photography for the better.
