You may be asking yourself — what’s better for me and my family? I have some pros and cons that may help you in deciding which format is better for you in 2021.

What’s the difference between Mini sessions versus full sessions?

My standard outdoor photo sessions for families are 45 minutes long. We’ll meet at either a trail or lakefront area of Lake Linganore or in downtown New Market or Frederick. We’ll walk, explore, adventure together and your final 40 or so edited images will be a mix of different groupings in posed and candid moments.

My mini sessions are at one of your favorite places — your home! I’ll come to you and we’ll have 10-15 minutes to capture your kiddos or your entire family in your yard or on your front porch. I’ll be happy to visit you anywhere in the Frederick County area. You’ll receive 5-10 final edited images that are mostly posed.

Which session is best for my family?

A standard session is best for you if:

1. Your family wants more final photos
2. You / your kids / your partner needs more time to “warm up” and get comfortable
3. Your household want more candid moments
4. In the session, you want a variety of backdrops
5. You want a specific backdrop (ie: downtown or greenery or lake)

A mini photo session is best for you if:

1. You want to stay at home / don’t want to put everyone in the car or travel
2. Your family doesn’t need a lot of final images
3. The goal is to keep little kids comfortable/in familiar area
4. You want to spend a little less money
5. You have a gorgeous spot in your backyard or a Pinterest-worthy front porch area
