I LOVE snowy days. My biggest gripe with the wintertime are the days that are cold but unattractive — low temperatures and gray everywhere. But on those days when the little flakes start falling from the sky, I immediately feel cozy, safe and happy. I really love snow days.
Last year, I embraced some snowy days with a bit of spontaneity and captured some really fun wintertime memories with portraits in the snow.
A mom and her daughter playing in the snow — snowball fights and sledding and snowflakes on eyelashes — it was such a fun and magical and easy moment. A portrait for a woman embracing her confidence and new phase in life let us have fun with furry coats and fresh-fallen snow for the cleanest and brightest of backdrops.
This winter, I’m going to take full advantage of some of Frederick County’s bright and white days with spontaneous snow sessions. We’ll enjoy 30 minutes outside in the Lake Linganore area for photos of you, your family or just your kiddos and we’ll have just a really fun time.
Want to catch a snowflake on your tongue? Slide down a snowy hill? Let’s do all those things and capture them in photos!
I’ll put out announcements for any upcoming spontaneous snowy day sessions on facebook and instagram but you can also email me at hello@wendyzook.com if you see some snow on the forecast.
